This empty lot has stories to tell! This lot was purchased by my grandfather-in-law and was originally going to be the location of his final home, located perfectly next to shopping, public transportation, dining and groceries. Then he decided to donate the land to the local Desert Hot Springs Rotary Club. They transformed the empty lot in to a beautiful community garden. The club fundraised over $30,000 since 2015 to make the community garden the magical place that it has been. Included in that $30,000 was paying for the connection to Mission Springs Water District so we could have water access. We then added irrigation for our garden beds and fruit trees. Since COVID-19, our volunteers and resources have decreased drastically and the club members and volunteers are not able to maintain the community garden any longer.
